In 2017, the college submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the purpose.The DPR contained three sections:
- PART A: New construction —– Rs. 1 crore (Rupees One crore only)
- PART B: Renovation —— Rs. 40 lakhs (Rs. Forty lakhs only)
- PART C: Procurement —– Rs. 60 lakhs (Rs. Sixty lakhs only)
All work with RUSA grant is monitored by the RUSA-Primary Monitoring Unit (RUSA-PMU) of the college. The present RUSA-PMU (constituted in August 2023) comprises the following members:

- Dr. Malay Roy, Assistant Professor, Mathematics and Bursar — Member
- Dr. Bapan Kumar Maity, Librarian and Convenor, Information Technology Resource Sub-committee — Member
- Sri Amed Sardar, Accountant— Member
On 24.08.2018, an amount of Rs. 1,00,00,000/- (Rupees One crore only) was received by the college as first instalment of RUSA 2.0 grant. After that, the Renovation work (PART B) was assigned to the PWDte, Kolkata Division, Social Sector, Govt. of West Bengal and the Utilisation Certificate was submitted by the college in due time after completion of work.
The Procurement (PART C) was done by the college through e-tendering process, and relevant Utilisation Certificates have also been submitted.
As far as New Construction (PART A) is concerned, RUSA Directorate has transferred an amount of Rs. 62,21,115/- (Rupees Sixty-two lakh, twenty-one thousand, one hundred and fifteen only) to the college as the initial instalment. The balance amount will be released after submission of Utilisation Certificate against the initial instalment. The Executive Engineer, PWDte, Kolkata Division, Social Sector, is about to start construction work (according to their latest vetted estimate) of second and third floors of the North Block building of the college (including the proposed auditorium in the third floor).
