Student Council

The Students’ Union is an elected body of the students. Every year the Students’ Union organises different cultural and co-curricular programmes and thereby inculcates in the students a sense of collective action beyond personal interest. On the College foundation day every year, the Students’ Union brings out the annual magazine ‘Kalorab. It is followed by blood donation and health check-up-camps. Apart from that, Saraswati Puja is celebrated with joy and gaiety. Annual cultural event comprising quiz contests, antakshari, etc., is also held. Freshers’ welcome, educational seminars and college picnic are also organised by the Union. ‘Amitava Nandy Smriti Fund’ provides financial assistance to students with poor socioeconomic background. Last but not the least, it has a responsibility to maintain a decorum in the college and guide the newcomers towards the path of progress.

  • They union extends help and cooperation at the time of admission. Usually a help desk is opened by the union to assist the admission seeking candidates.
  • It also helps the college authority to maintain the academic atmosphere within the college premises.
  • The union supports the financially backward students providing financial assistance. Amitava Nandy Smriti Fund provides financial assistance to students with poor socioeconomic background.
  • Every year the union celebrates College Foundation Day (12th December). The annual Magazine “Kalorab” is formally published on that day. It is followed by Blood Donation and Health Check-Up Camps.
  • Besides, the union organizes various other cultural and recreational programmes annually like Saraswati Puja, Freshers’ Welcome, college picnic, sports etc.
