The NSS unit of the college was established on 31st July 2003 with the motto “Not me But You” to sensitize the young students with a myriad of activities. The unit makes an earnest endeavour to establish a meaningful linkage between the campus and the community. The activity of the NSS unit of the institution is broadly classified into two categories namely On campus and Off campus activity. The programmes are organised and conducted in the college premises and at Sahid Sriti Colony respectively. On campus activities like Blood donation camps, observation of National Science day, Orientation programme and Cleaning of college premises are some of the endeavours under NSS. Off campus programmes Special Camping programme in Sahid Smriti Colony slum area is carried out to spread awareness on public health, sanitation and personal hygiene. The ever enthusiastic NSS volunteers also participate in different activities conducted by the University of Calcutta.
